    几年前刚做这件事时，作为山东省济宁市泗水微公益协会会长的他可没有想到，能建起那么多小屋。
    孙建涛的公益之路已经坚持了十几年，从一开始几个人的拍客团队，到成立一个组织，推出一个个公益项目，他影响着越来越多的年轻人走上公益这条路。
    在中国，像孙建涛这样的公益人有很多，公益慈善组织也越来越多。

    在建设“希望小屋”这条路上，孙建涛不是“独行者”。
    如今，这已经是团山东省委的一项重要工作。2020年6月起，团山东省委、山东省青联、山东省青基会全面启动“希望小屋”儿童关爱项目，16个市、136个县迅速行动。一时间，一间间“希望小屋”在齐鲁大地上“拔地而起”。一年的时间，山东已建成1万多间“希望小屋”。
    事实上，这是希望工程在新时代的新实践。
    希望工程就是中国青少年发展基金会探索的结果。
    希望工程的横空出世，点燃了公众心中爱的火苗。
    1991年，《中国青年报》摄影记者解海龙在安徽金寨的一所山村小学里为8岁的苏明娟拍下了那张被人熟知的“大眼睛”的照片，这成为希望工程的标志，更多的人因为“大眼睛”而关注希望工程。
    而希望工程也成为20世纪90年代社会参与最广泛、最富影响力的民间公益事业。
    她还记得那时除了每年可以收到几百元的资助外，她还能参加希望工程组织的活动，通过那些活动，她走出了大山，看到了外面的世界，也激发了她通过学习改变命运的精神动力。
    苏明娟受到了帮助，她也成为帮助别人的人。工作以后，她开始帮助贫困孩子，捐助希望小学，2018年，她还设立“苏明娟助学基金”，去帮助更多的贫困孩子。
    30多年来，希望工程让太多人受益。
    “希望工程是中国规模最大，持续时间最长，效益最显著的慈善公益项目，迄今都在发挥重要作用。它的价值不仅是筹到了多少钱，帮助了多少孩子，很重要的一点还在于，它重新把人与人之间的信任、关怀、友爱种到全国人民的心里，在中国改革开放以后，它是对公益慈善的一次大启蒙。” 中国社会科学院社会学研究所研究员、社会政策研究中心副主任杨团说。
    如今，在全国各地，类似“希望小屋”这样新的项目也不断出现，为希望工程注入着新活力。
    “一个创意启动了一个工程，这个工程造就了一项壮阔的事业，它的名字叫希望。”徐永光曾这样说。
    在中国的公益版图里，除了希望工程，更多的公益品牌随着时代发展诞生、崛起。几十年的时间里，各类基金会、公益慈善组织、民间社会组织、公益项目不断涌现，它们构成了中国的公益大生态，共同推动着公益事业的发展。
    1989年，中国儿童少年基金会推出并实施了旨在资助贫困地区失辍学女童继续学业、改善贫困地区办学条件的项目——“春蕾计划”。截至2019年，共接受社会爱心捐款21.18亿元，有2784万人次的捐赠，直接帮助女童超过369万人次，捐建春蕾学校1811所； 2001年，中国妇女发展基金会推出“母亲水窖”项目，重点帮助西部地区老百姓特别是妇女摆脱因严重缺水带来的贫困和落后。截至2020年年底，“母亲水窖”项目覆盖了全国29个省（区、市）修建集雨水窖13.97万个，共324万人受益；近两年，团中央发起实施“童心港湾”项目，通过选配“童伴妈妈”，组织家访校访、日常陪护、主题活动、志愿服务等，对村里留守儿童进行亲情陪伴、情感关怀、自护。截至2020年年底，“童心港湾”项目已建成运行330余个项目点，服务近两万名留守儿童……
    在中国的公益事业中，青年是主力军。
    1993年中国青年志愿者在铁路青年中吹响号角，此后一代又一代青年，秉承着“奉献、友爱、互助、进步”的志愿精神，以志愿服务的形式参与到中国公益这个“大盘子”中。
    近30年来，中国青年志愿者行动为公益版图贡献了青春力量。北京奥运会、上海世博会、杭州G20峰会……每个大型活动的现场都少不了青年志愿者的身影；汶川地震、玉树地震、新冠肺炎疫情……每遇国家危难，青年志愿者们总是第一时间冲在前线；助老、助残、助困、关爱留守儿童、环境保护、应急救灾、脱贫攻坚、基层治理……青年志愿者活跃在社会建设的各个领域；研究生支教团、大学生志愿服务西部计划、暖冬行动……一个个志愿服务项目不断丰富和拓展这一公益品牌的内涵；徐本禹、邵书琴、黄加荣、华雨辰……一个个青年志愿者典型成为青年的榜样。
    更多的公益力量在社会上涌现、成长，助推着中国社会的成长、进步，不断提升着中国社会的文明新高度。
    根据民政部的统计信息，截至2020年9月底，全国登记认定慈善组织7825个，净资产规模超过1900亿元；慈善信托共463单，合同金额32.42亿元。
    一项事业影响了几代人
