PHOENIX — “This is my church, this is where I heal,” Phoenix resident Just Taylor described the desert mountains surrounding her.
After three failed knee replacements left her a shell of who she once was, Taylor, is on a journey to regain her life.
Before that, she hit rock bottom.
“People don’t want to be defined,” said Taylor. “For me, I don’t want to be defined as being disabled because I’m very able, I’m physically challenged. But, pain defines you. It was so mind boggling that there were times I asked my partner to literally drive me up to the rim so I could just walk off a cliff. I just didn’t want to live like that.”
