Leading Sibelian, Osmo Vänskä conducted a vivacious performance of Sibelius and Beethoven in Heroic, for the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra's Symphony Series at Adelaide Town Hall.
To hear violinist Ilya Gringolts play Prokofiev leaves one in absolutely no doubt that he understands this composer like no other. Terrific playing from the ASO under Mark Wigglesworth also made this a winner of a concert.
