There were 35 responses to this weekâs Tele-Talk question, âHow do you think the parking program is going so far?â Twenty dollars is too much. But almost every town that I can think of you have to pay somewhere for parking of some sort. It s just the way it is. I don t know why we don t enforce the two-hour parking in the village like they used to, or why we don t have parking meters to generate money for this area. This town is getting worse by the day. Historic buildings are a big factor in what gives a town its character and personality. But, of course, the buildings have to be maintained and/or adapted to accommodate modern use, otherwise they lose their relevance and become endangered. It was a labor of love â and costly â to renovate the Bolduc Block and The Majestic Theatre, but Conway Village is visually and economically better off for it having been saved, and it still looks like Conway instead of Anytown, USA. George Wiese ....
