Ram's RED First Week Collections:- Energetic Star Ram is riding high with the super success of Ismart Shankar. The actor had all his hopes on RED and is confident on the film's success and waited for the theatrical release of the film. RED is an action thriller and is inspired from Tamil blockbuster film Thadam. The film is directed by Kishore Tirumala and it features Nivetha Pethuraj, Malavika Sharma, Amritha Aiyer, Sampath Raj in the other crucial roles. RED released for Sankranthi and got a wide release across the Telugu states.
RED collected a theatrical share of Rs 15.82 crores in its first week of its theatrical run. The theatrical rights of RED are valued at Rs 16 crores and the film will end up as a decent hit in the final run. Manisharma composed the music and background score for RED. iSmart Shankar’s blockbuster success has helped Ram reap in the openings for Red. The mass thriller directed by Kishore Tirumala, which raked in Rs 6.70 Crore share on its opening day, managed to sustain the heat and continued its streak at the Box Office. According to makers of RED, the film collected 4.17 Crore share on its second day including 63 lakh through hires.
With this, the two days share in the Telugu states is estimated at 10.87 Crore. While the film got mixed reviews, Sankranthi season and Ram’s previous track record are drawing crowds to cinemas. Below is the area-wise break-up of Red collections on Thursday and Friday.

Red is an official remake of Tamil hit Thadam. Director Kishore Tirumala made some changes to the treatment of the original to make it appealing to a wider audience. However, the story and thrill are lost in translation and Red turned out to be a disappointment.
What is it about?
Aditya and Siddarth (Ram) are identical twins. They both look alike but their personalities are very different. Siddharth is a well settled engineer but Aditya does crimes to make a living. A murder happens and police suspects Siddharth based on a photograph taken at the crime scene. However, Aditya also gets arrested in another case and the police have to crack who among the two was present at the crime scene.
