Both not strong for bay area standards. But the reason why we all felt this earthquake across parts of the peninsula is the fact that it is 2. 9 miles deep. Thats extremely shallow. So a lot of the energy from the earthquake was able to spread out a lot further with this smaller earthquake. Now, again, as we mentioned, its right on the san andreas fault, which always brings us some concern here in the bay area there is a 21 chance of a 6. 7 quake over the next 30 years. So any time the san andreas starts to shake, it starts to get us concerned. So this, again, may seem like its overdoing it. B...
