Spilker appoints new sales manager

Spilker, a Germany-based rotary tooling and engineering specialist, has appointed Andreas Stumpf as new sales manager for its flexible die sector.
Together with the new location for the production of flexible dies completed at the end of 2020 and implementing the latest production methods, Spilker has appointed Stumpf, graduate engineer, to further strengthen the sales department for flexible dies.
‘Thanks to his decades of experience as sales and project manager for well-known manufacturers, there will be many new aspects and innovations at Spilker in this area in future. One of the first targeted goals is the further expansion of the technical service for flexible dies. New structures and concepts in combination with modern technology enable closer contact with the customer already now. AG Barr wraps Irn-Bru in recycled material

Soft drink manufacturer AG Barr has introduced new packaging for its iconic Scottish drink Irn-Bru using the entirely recycled wrap to accelerate its carbon neutrality journey.
Irn -bru, often referred to as ‘Scotland’s other national drink’, is the first of AG Barr’s soft drinks to make the switch to 100 percent recycled wrap across its can multipacks, with the new sustainable pack set to hit shelves across the country from May.
Furthermore, the company has pledged that the remaining brands, including Barr Flavours and Rubicon, will feature the same eco-friendly packaging by the end of 2021. According to AG Barr, this move will save 400 tones of virgin plastic a year, corresponding to the weight of about 250 cars. ....
