This webinar explores trends related to youth alcohol consumption according to the latest available data. Different hypotheses for these patterns will be tested to understand their root causes in various settings, including educational environments, online (digital) settings and the home environment. Different population-level policy interventions to influence alcogenic environments will also be explored, building upon the dialogue initiated in the second edition of the Less Alcohol Webinar series on reducing exposure to alcogenic environments.

It continues the dialogue initiated earlier in the Less Alcohol Webinar Series on restricting alcohol availability and alcohol consumption and socioeconomic inequalities. Leading experts on alcohol monopolies will share the best available evidence and discuss these systems in different contexts, including Canada, Finland, Sweden and other Nordic countries.

This webinar aims to raise awareness of the environmental impacts of alcohol, assess the available evidence, share examples of countries facing the environmental burden of alcohol production, and look at how alcohol control policies can incorporate environmental considerations and processes to catalyse action.
