DeMeo says the new policy was shared on social media, the town newspaper and a sign posted at the cemetery, which gave families ample notice before items were removed at the end of April.Decie, however, argues that she and others should have been directly notified about the cemetery s new policy. She says she is drafting a letter to the cemetery committee about the issue.DeMeo tells NewsCenter 5 that families can retrieve the items that were discarded from the gravesite at the Salisbury Public Works Department at 39 Lafayette Road.
