Turriff s own Adventure 2 which proved another record breaker at the weekend by beating the current world record held by its sister ship for the farthest distance travelled at sea by a toy boat has been rescued off the coast of Miami.

The toy sailing ship proved a record breaker once again for brothers Ollie and Harry Ferguson after it passed the landmark 6088km distance goal set by its predecessor. ....

Turriff s own sailing ship the Adventure 2 has started on the next leg of its journey into the Gulf of Mexico.
Thanks to Brian Currier and Kiki Terrels at Sailing Lost who collected the ship after its recent stop in Belize, the ship was relaunched on Monday just North of the island of Cozumel on the Mexican coast.

Initially they tried to hit the main north current, but slipped into the eddy behind the island before getting caught in the current north again several hours later. ....

The state made it through late summer and most of fall before scientists in the last couple of weeks started tracking a bloom off the southwest shore.
