The Herald News WESTPORT — Camp Noquochoke, the Boy Scout camp in Westport, may have been closed for more than 40 years, but the indelible impression that special place had on generations of Greater Fall River boys has not faded. June 26 marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of the camp, and a special event on Sept. 25 will be held to mark the occasion. Crudwell Primary School in Malmesbury has managed to salvage it's Christmas Fair from the ruins of Covid-19. The school's Christmas Committee of just six volunteers came together to reinvent the popular annual event by coming up with a month of different things to do. The month kicked off with a bedtime stories event followed by a 12 days of Christmas Treasure Hunt around Crudwell Village. There are four competitions featuring guest judges, including a 'Your Winter 2020' photography contest, best dressed Christmas tree, cutest festive pet and best creative cake decoration.
