Care home residents surprised with ice cream van visit
Residents in a care home were surprised with a free ice cream from an ice cream truck last week. On Thursday (April 22), which was a lovely hot sunny day, local ice cream man Michael Stead came to offer some much needed encouragement and free cones to the Hollies Care Home in Clayton-le-Moors. After over a year of lockdowns, care home residents have been heavily affected by the virus, being locked away for most of the year due to their susceptibility to the illness.
