Football apart, two stories have dominated our media of late, one to a far greater degree than the other yet both crucially important. One, of course, was the conviction for multiple baby-killing of Lucy Letby who will serve the rest of her life on earth in close confinement. The other was the release, reluctant piece after piece, of revelations about the 17 years Andrew Malkinson spent in jail for a rape he never committed.
