Police confident of tracking down individuals behind FB post slandering Sarawak DCP

KUCHING: Police are confident of tracking down individuals who used fake Facebook accounts to make slanderous statement against Sarawak Deputy Police Commissioner Datuk Fisol Salleh.
This is following a viral Facebook posting alleging Fisol was the main protector of those involved in gambling, smuggling, and secret socities in Sarawak.
Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC Lukas Aket said the police would use various methods including seeking the cooperation of the Malaysian Multimedia and Communications Commission (MCMC) to track down the individuals behind it.

PUTRAJAYA: A 36-year-old woman who went on a social media rampage, threatening to run down policemen manning a roadblock here, was detained.
The suspect, a director of a packaging company in Petaling Jaya, made several statements on Facebook targeting the roadblock personnel in Putrajaya saying, among others: “Aku pusing balik rempuh korang (I’ll turn back and run you all down).”
She also unleashed insults against enforcement personnel, calling them “dogs” and saying they were no different than criminals.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Fadzil Ali said a police report was lodged over her posting yesterday morning, before she was apprehended at 9pm the same day.
