Members for a shortterm debt ceiling increase. However, this is very far from a done deal. The market is reacting to the upside, but analysts that im talking to say this is mostly Short Covering by those who were betting that we would go right up to the debt ceiling. So this is a market you want to be extremely careful in. The Dow Jones Industrial average up 237 points. The nasdaq is up 73. A full 2 move. The s p 500 is up 27 points.
