Neighbors heard a series of explosions. Well, it was heck of a way to wake up, i tell you what. So im in that building right there and i hear explosions, like five or explosions. Reporter somehow the driver escaped from the cab of the tanker. The flames raged for about an hour melting pavement, guardrails burning the nearby hillside and absolutely incinerating the tanker itself. So, i go up to the window and i look and i look across the way and theres like a towering inferno of smoke and everything, so i watched it until they finally evacuated us. Reporter plumes of thick black smoke billowed across the residential streets as neighbors fled from their homes. One firefighter was transported to the hospital for indisclosed injuries. Neighbors say its not the first time a truck has overturned on this ramp. Thats not the first time trucks turn over on that off ramp all the time coming around there.
