Iona M. Humphrey, an owner and operator and the matriarch of Humphrey's Market in Springfield, has died.

In 1927 on May 18 the Kelly flood wiped out that little town. The following is an account of what happened as told by Anne Kent, who witnessed the event. Her son, Donald Kent, interviewed her for this story in 1966.
