PORTSMOUTH — City officials have approved spending $42 million to partially renovate and expand the existing police station, after other options for a new facility exceeded $60 million.
“He’s demonstrated excellent leadership, and I’m proud of the department we have in our community," city Police Commission chair Kate Coyle said.
“It’s a fascinating moment in time to stop and reflect on what has been, what is right now, and where we'll be,” said City Manager Karen Conard.
