In late 1945, Harry Smith arrived in in the hope of continuing his anthropological studies, Smith was quickly drawn into the vibrant Bohemian scene of the Bay Area.
A solo show takes on the legacy of the painter, folk musicologist, filmmaker, obsessive collector and underground legend. It also hints at what has been lost.
On view through the end of the year, the show brings two artists into a gallery space through photos, videos, and posters. Each is in tune with how their work
