Nicole Harris of Gainesville High School was named Alachua County's 2021 Teacher of the Year last Thursday night in a livestreamed ceremony. Alachua County names Teacher of the Year finalists This year’s nominees for Alachua County Teacher of the Year include three women with deep roots in their respective schools.  The candidates include Mackenzie McNickle of Stephen Foster Elementary, Amy Beres of Howard Bishop Middle and Nicole Harris of Gainesville High School.
