Ottawa Public Health says 95 more people in Ottawa have tested positive for COVID-19 and one more person has died.
The newly reported cases bring Ottawa's pandemic totals to 25,943 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 535 resident deaths since the pandemic began.
Across Ontario, health officials reported 2,584 new infections. The province also reported 3,063 newly resolved cases and said 24 more Ontarians have died. Public Health Ontario added 108 new cases of COVID-19 to its total for Ottawa on Saturday. Figures from OPH often differ from those provided by Public Health Ontario because each health unit pulls data for their respective daily reports at different times of the day.

Ottawa Public Health reports 116 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, weekly incidence rate increases

Ottawa Public Health is reporting 116 new cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa, while the capital's COVID-19 weekly incidence rate increased slightly.
One new death linked to the virus was also reported on Friday.
Since the first case of COVID-19 in Ottawa on March 11, 2020, there have been 25,848 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa, including 534 deaths.
Public Health Ontario reported 99 new cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa on Friday. There is sometimes a discrepancy in COVID-19 case totals between Public Health Ontario and Ottawa Public Health because of the timing the data is collected.
The 116 new cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa on Friday follows 104 new cases on Thursday and 115 cases on Wednesday.

Ottawa Public Health is reporting 115 more people in the city have tested positive for COVID-19 and another person has died.
Across the province, officials added 2,320 new cases of COVID-19. The province also reported 3,477 newly resolved cases and said 32 more people had died. Public Health Ontario reported 105 new cases in Ottawa on Wednesday. Figures from OPH often differ from those provided by Public Health Ontario because the two health units pull data for their respective daily reports at different times of the day.
The new figures from OPH's COVID-19 dashboard bring the city's pandemic totals to 25,628 laboratory-confirmed cases and 528 resident deaths.

Woman in her 20s becomes youngest Ottawa resident to die of COVID-19

Ottawa Public Health is reporting the death of a woman in her 20s from COVID-19, making her the youngest person in the city to succumb to the virus.
The death was included in Tuesday's COVID-19 dashboard update. 
In a reponse to CTV News Ottawa, Ottawa Public Health would not provide any further details about the woman, citing medical privacy, but said her death is a reminder that the pandemic is still putting people at risk.
"We mourn all those who have died of COVID-19. Every death is tragedy. This is a sad day and a reminder of the impacts on the family and friends of the people who have died during the pandemic," the statement said.

Ottawa sees 143 new COVID-19 cases, two new deaths Sunday

Ottawa Public Health is reporting 143 more people in Ottawa have tested positive for COVID-19 and two more people have died.
According to OPH's COVID-19 dashboard, there have been 25,363 total laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa since the first case was confirmed on March 11, 2020 and 523 residents have died. 
The daily case count Sunday was slightly higher than the 112 cases reported on Saturday, but weekly monitoring trends continue to see a downward decline, with the incidence rate per 100,000 population below 90. The estimated reproduction number, which measures how many additional people each person with COVID-19 infects, has been below 1 since the middle of April, which suggests that the spread of the virus is slowing down.

Ottawa sees fewer than 100 new COVID-19 cases Monday, two new deaths

Ottawa Public Health is reporting 83 more people in Ottawa have tested positive for COVID-19 and two more people have died.
The new case count is the lowest so far this month, after OPH reported 94 cases on May 4. Daily case counts have otherwise been in the triple digits since late March. 
According to Ottawa Public Health's COVID-19 dashboard, there have been 25,446 total laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the capital since the pandemic began. The two new deaths reported Monday bring the city's pandemic death toll to 525 residents.
There were 2,716 new cases of COVID-19 reported across Ontario on Monday. The province also reported 19 more residents dying from COVID-19 and said there are 3,110 newly resolved cases. Ottawa Public Health says 141 more people in Ottawa have tested positive for COVID-19 and two more people have died.
It comes one day after Ottawa Public Health reported its lowest case count in six weeks, with 94 new cases on Tuesday. OPH also reported five deaths on Tuesday.
The city has seen a total of 24,892 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 since March 11, 2020 and 517 residents of Ottawa have died from COVID-19.
Across Ontario, public health officials reported 2,941 new cases of COVID-19, marking the second straight day of fewer than 3,000 province-wide cases; however, the province also reported 44 new deaths on Wednesday, a 76 per cent increase compared to the day before.
