MSNBC Yasmin Vossoughian Reports October 23, 2021 20:05:00

Right now, right? it s this idea that if, in fact, they lose in virginia, then it will be seen as a referendum on the current president, and so how then do you subsequently spin that? yeah. no, it absolutely would be a referendum on joe biden and the democrats, but look, it is also the only off year election we have of consequence, so we also have to realize that there s a lot of message testing going on here, but plenty of time to re-evaluate and recalibrate going into 2022. i would say the significance of barack obama coming in is it restores kind of the aspirational voice of our politics, which is very hard to find now. i mean, i think barack obama s voice, for as long as he is with us for decades to come will be that aspirational politician that appeals to people s hope and to their change. you know, the one thing that i think he took some license on is to say that people don t agree with republican ideas. the reality is, almost half the country does, so how do democrats overcome ....

MSNBC Alex Witt Reports October 17, 2021 16:51:00

Thwart virginia s election results in 2024 s governor mansion. you know, david, this is kind of the first major litmus test of the biden administration. whatever happens on november 22nd. what does that tell us about what happens in 2022, and what rides on the results for congress to pass those two major spending bills before election day? i think it is a big deal for democrats. look, terry mcauliffe very well might win. and democrats will say, see, we re on the right course. the reason i think it s a big deal, the outcome of this is because virginia has been trending reliably blue. virginia has almost gotten to the point where democrats say it s a solid blue state. a loss in virginia means more than a loss in a pure toss-up state. i don t know if it means a whole lot as the death nell of biden s agenda. but i think what you ll see in these off year races, the national parties come in and do a lot of message testing. ....

Then election night 2018, democrats pick up 40 seats in the house. look, more importantly, there was message testing here on the right. they try to run basically on the crime message that they thought won them some swing districts, whether it s the charleston district in south carolina, the two south florida districts which now many believe the defund the police argument worked. look, i think a lot of us thought it could make some inroads in a place like albuquerque and that fell flat it looks like on the republican side of things. yeah, no, absolutely. i think that was republicans hoped it would look something like this, you know, where it would come down to six, seven points, something like that, and they could say exactly that. look, we pressed the prime message. the democrats have been giving us this issue, and there s traction, but this is the one thing, again, this is 2017, 2018. look how much evidence we had. we re not getting any more special we re going to have two in ....

Summary:
Vaccinations are the key to getting to the so-called new normal . Enterprise tech is playing its role in getting the jabs to people s arms, but there s a need to focus on experience-based messaging to counter hesitancy in key communities.

The emergence of COVID-19 vaccines is the good news that millions around the world have waited to hear for over a year. But there are those who still harbor (vocal) doubts about their rollout, doubts that need to be overcome if successful mass-vaccination is to be achieved.
A recent study by Kantar Public, polling 7,133 people across the US, UK, France, Italy, India, Germany and The Netherlands, found some striking variations in national attitudes to the prospect of being vaccinated.  France and the USA displayed the highest levels of vaccine hesitancy - 40% and 25% respectively - whereas respondents in India, Italy and the UK - 82%, 80% and 76% - are most likely to definit ....

MSNBC MSNBC Live With Hallie Jackson October 7, 2019 14:11:00

Democrats are made of rudy giuliani and the vice president s office and of the white house. a couple of quick things we re watching today. the white house could as early as today send that letter to the house speaker nancy pelosi where they re going to say that they re not going to turn over any documents or cooperate fully unless or until the the house speaker brings a formal impeachment vote to the floor. we ve talked about this before. pelosi says the argument is baseless and has no precedent or legal grounding. another thing i m told is that the nrcc, which is the campaign arm of congressional republicans, they ve been out doing a lot of polling, some message testing. they are expecting to hand over the results of that polling to lawmakers today. there s a conference call later this afternoon. so we could see a messaging shift from these members as they try to keep up their defense of president trump. kevin mccarthy was just out on fox news and said he doesn t think the second wh ....
