La Mesa police arrest 61-year-old in hit-and-run death of university freshman
LA MESA — A 61-year-old man has been arrested as the suspected driver in a hit-and-run crash that killed a university freshman in La Mesa earlier this year, police said Thursday. Spring Valley resident Scott Satterfield was found at a Mission Valley motel just after noon Wednesday and arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, police Lt. Greg Runge said in a news release. The arrest comes more than a month after the death of 18-year-old UC Riverside freshman Jok Joseph Jok, who went by Michael.
