Community rallies to support family of Bradford mom, PSW who died from COVID-19
'She was a jolly and kind-hearted person who was willing to help others in any way,' says close friend

Cristina Marasigan died Feb. 23, 2021, due to complications from COVID-19.
The community is mourning the loss of Bradford mother Cristina Marasigan who died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 23 after being found in her home not breathing.
At the time, Cristina’s husband, John, was in hospital recovering from COVID-19 when he was told the tragic news.
John suffers from asthma and began having difficulty breathing in mid-February. When his symptoms worsened, Cristina drove him to Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Saturday, Feb.20 where he began receiving treatment for COVID-19.

NCCA recognizes UP Diliman 'outstanding' musical artists – Manila Bulletin

Musical artists from the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) were among those recognized at the “1st Sudi Awards” of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
The award recognizes “outstanding contributions of Filipino musical works, creators, institutions, and researchers across genres and modes of productions with the highest standard and artistic excellence” be known as such. 
UPD College of Music (CMu) professor Josefino “Chino” Toledo, and performing groups UP Singing Ambassadors (UPSA) and UP Madrigal Singers (MADZ), received the special recognition.
Toledo is the current director of the UP Symphonic Orchestra and executive director of the Miriam College Center for Applied Music.
