Print Sixty years ago, the San Diego Hall of Champions and San Diego Hall of Fame opened in the old House of Charm building next to the Alcazar Gardens in Balboa Park. After relocating twice, the San Diego sports museum closed its doors in Balboa Park in 2017. Much of the memorabilia it housed was returned to donors or auctioned off. The dramatic moment two Australian pro surfing siblings ran into rough surf to rescue a woman being dragged out into sea has been caught on camera. Australian surf star siblings Tyler, 27, and Mikey Wright, 24, made a joint rescue of a fellow beachgoer who was swept out into the rocky reefs at Ke Iki Beach in Hawaii on New Year's Eve.
