Queen's Speech increases anxiety around HS2's eastern leg

The rail industry has called for clarity on the future of the eastern leg of High Speed 2 (HS2) following yesterday’s Queen’s Speech. In the speech, the Queen said the High Speed Rail (Crewe - Manchester) Bill would be taken forward in the coming year, providing the powers to build and operate the next stage of the HS2 network.
