Paddy procurement hit as commission agents, millers go on strike in Punjab

Arhtiyas say they’re entitled to 2.5% commission on paddy bought by govt agencies. In accordance with revised MSP of ₹2,203 a quintal for kharif procurement, the commission should have been ₹55.08 a quintal, but the Centre has frozen the commission at ₹45.86, which is unacceptable to them.
