The country has been importing large amounts of waste plastic and paper every year from europe, japan, and the United States to be recycled. Its estimated that china accepted 51 of global plastic scrap imports in 2016. But the new ban, ordered by the beijing government, is about to stop most of that, and it could have a Significant Impact on recycling industry worldwide. Robin brant reports from shanghai.
