Traffic pattern changes are expected to take place in several areas throughout the I-70 Bridges Project in the coming week, including the shifting of the single I-70 eastbound lane above the back channel bridges over to the westbound side of the interstate.
Motorists on Interstate 70, already dealing with traffic pattern changes with the I-70 Bridges Project, can expect some more in several areas along that interstate.
West Virginia Division of Highways officials said that along with the scheduled shift of the single I-70 eastbound lane between the Bridgeport Marion Street exit to the Fort Henry Bridge beginning Tuesday single-lane closures are scheduled on Ohio 7 and in the Elm Grove area next week. The I-70 eastbound lane shift is part of a long-term traffic pattern change that will continue through approximately the end of 2021. ....
