Police on 'alert mode' across Gujarat for Indo-Pak match; 6,000 cops deployed in Ahmedabad

Police units in Gujarat have been instructed to be on high alert and closely monitor anti-social elements and sensitive areas during and after the India-Pakistan World Cup cricket match. More than 6,000 personnel from the Gujarat police force, along with other security forces, will be deployed in Ahmedabad city and at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The security measures include ensuring the safety of the stadium and spectators, managing traffic and parking, monitoring anti-social elements, and preventing any untoward incidents. The police force is fully prepared and additional units have been put on alert for quick deployment if needed.

Synopsis
These projects included phase-2 of the Sabarmati Riverfront development from Dafnala till Indira Bridge on the eastern side of the city, a government release said. While the entire project of developing 11 km stretch under phase-2 is estimated to be of Rs 850 crore, Rupani on Friday launched the phase-2 by performing the ground-breaking for various works worth Rs 95 crore for the initial stretch between Dafnala and Sadar Bazaar.

During his speech, the chief minister said the phase-2 of the riverfront development will be as attractive and eco- friendly as the phase-1, which is almost complete.
