Patna, Feb 12 (IANS) Following apex court directions, the Patna High Court on Friday ordered for day-to-day hearings in the Munger firing case in which a young man was killed in alleged police firing during an idol immersion procession at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Chowk, a lawyer in the case said.

Patna (Bihar) [India], January 16 (ANI): After the Patna High Court turned down a request for urgent hearing, the mother of Anurag Poddar, 18, who was killed in Munger in Bihar last year, has moved the Supreme Court seeking an urgent hearing and justice for her son.
The mother of Anurag Poddar had moved the top court, through her lawyer, Alakh Alok Srivastava, by filing a writ petition and seeking an immediate hearing in the case in the SC.
Srivastava stated that Anurag was brutally killed on October 26, last year, in the police firing during Goddess Durga Idol immersion in Munger in Bihar. Despite the fact that more than two months had passed, not even a single person has been arrested or even named in the FIR filed in this regard.

Munger (Bihar) [India], January 8 (ANI): About 22 students and 3 teachers of a school in Asarganj here were found COVID positive on Friday, said the health department.
After receiving the information, a medical team rushed to the area and announced it as a containment zone.
Speaking to ANI, Dr Ajay Kumar Bharti, Civil Surgeon at Sadar Hospital, Munger said, "We are prepared and have created a containment zone in Asarganj. For precaution, medical teams have been constituted for screening."
The incident came to light after a health department team conducted random tests of students and teachers after the opening of the school.

LIMA — The $20.2 million Borra Center for Health Sciences is scheduled to open in June 2021. The Rhodes State College board of trustees went on a virtual tour on the downtown construction project Tuesday evening.
The facility will be home to five of the college’s programs including nursing, physical therapy assistant, occupational therapy assistant, emergency medical services and respiratory care.
The contractor on the project is the Spieker Co., of Toledo.
Munger Munger + Associates Architects Inc. have been working on the project and took trustees through the construction site via Zoom.
