after i read this book i came across a few facts i want to run by you because i think it sets up the discussion pretty well. according to some data that i've just seen there are over 1200 government organizations across the country involved in intelligence, counterterrorism and homeland security. we've got about 850,000 people with top security clearances, and the intelligence budget since september 10th, 2001 is now 2.5 times the size, of 75 billion. and yet, if you read this book, you have to conclude that we are not intelligently assessing the islamist threat to this country. all ...
