Sir Tom Jones and Van Morrison set for August's Hampton Court Palace Festival

Sir Tom Jones and Van Morrison are set to headline Hampton Court Palace Festival in August.
The Welsh music legend is set to play two consecutive nights kicking off on August 23 at the royal landmark in Richmond upon Thames, while the 'Brown Eyed Girl' hitmaker will perform on the first night on August 13.
The festival was originally meant to take place in June, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing restrictions not expected to be fully lifted until June 21, Hampton Court Palace Festival will return on August 13 to 24.
Also on the bill is Bastille ReOrchestrated, which will see the band perform tracks from their three albums with a 20-piece orchestra and choir on August 17 and August 18.

It may be 1 April, but the Official Charts Company can confirm this is not actually a joke.
Mr Brightside by The Killers continues to prove itself the chart hit that can’t be kept down. This week the track logs a record-breaking 260th non-consecutive week – or a full FIVE YEARS - on the Official UK Singles Chart Top 100, according to Official Charts Company records.
No song in UK chart history has notched up anywhere near as many weeks in the Top 100 - the closest is Snow Patrol’s 2006 Top 10 hit Chasing Cars, at 166 weeks.
Mr Brightside has become the stuff of legend on the Official Chart. The indie-pop anthem spent just four weeks in the Top 100 upon its original 2004 release, peaking at Number 10. The years since have seen it become a staple at many a party or club night, helping it rack up lots of streams and downloads every week.

Lewis Capaldi offers special fan experiences via NFT trading cards

Lewis Capaldi is launching a set of NFT trading cards offering an in-person fan experience.
The 'Grace' hitmaker has announced his partnership with tech firm Bondly and is giving his fans the chance to join him on “an experimental journey”.
Those who claim one of the cards will be granted access to a special private event in 2022 and have access to "unique perks".
Lewis said in a statement: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be launching these trading cards with the incredible team over at Bondly.
“This has been something I’ve been really excited about for a while & have been working on the game behind the scenes so it’s great to be able to finally announce this to everyone! Can’t wait to be giving a small preview of what’s coming up to a few of ya early next year! x (sic)'

The Killers’ hit track ‘Mr. Brightside’ has now spent a total of five whole years in the UK’s Top 100.
The iconic single was first released in 2003 and it has now cemented its place in the history book by becoming the only song in the history of the Official UK Singles Chart to spend 260 weeks – or a whopping five years – in the top 100.
‘Mr. Brightside’ has held on to the top spot for longest-running chart hits for some time, as its closest competitor is Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’, which has spent almost 100 weeks less time in the charts with a total of 166 weeks.

Jesy Nelson signs solo deal with global management firm YMU

Jesy Nelson has signed a solo deal with global management firm YMU.
The 29-year-old singer announced in December she was leaving Little Mix because of the impact being in the band was having on her mental health, and it has now been confirmed she’s set to launch a solo career under YMU, whose clients already include Take That, Steve Aoki, Ant and Dec, and Fearne Cotton.
In a statement, Jesy said: “I am so excited to join YMU and can't wait to start my next chapter.”
Whilst Mary Bekhait, group CEO of YMU, added: “Jesy has enjoyed incredible success as a recording artist and performer and is well placed to further her remarkable career. She is a hugely talented, versatile and authentic artist with a strong creative vision, and we are looking forward to helping her realise that.”

Gwen Stefani had mixed emotions marking the 25th anniversary of No Doubt album Tragic Kingdom last year, because the songs still leave her feeling a little heartbroken.
The singer detailed her split from her bandmate Tony Kanal on the project, and even though they have both long moved on, celebrating its release milestone didn't feel quite right for Stefani.
"The whole purpose for the Tragic Kingdom is the breakup, the heartbreak. There's a lot of feelings," she shared on U.S. late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
"Even in that record, when you say the words 'tragic kingdom,' my heart still kind of is broken. 'Cause those songs were about a really sad time for me," she explained.

Pop Smoke's posthumous debut album, Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon, has become the longest running #1 Hip Hop/R&B Album since 1990.
The album is currently tied with Michael Jackson's 1987 album Bad for the title and is on track to tie with Prince's Purple Rain on the chart next week. The album is also currently #1 on the Top Rap Albums chart and sits at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart. With the album charting in the top five on the Billboard 200 for 32 weeks, it becomes only the fourth album this century to spend that many weeks in the top five.

Cardi B is embracing the conservative backlash to her raunchy Grammy Awards performance of WAP, because the controversy is only helping to drive up video views of the set.
The rapper teamed up with song collaborator Megan Thee Stallion to turn up the heat at Sunday's ceremony with a steamy rendition of the X-rated tune, which saw the stars bump and grind against one another onstage.
The set sent conservative political commentators into a spin, with pundit Candace Owens claiming the performance of WAP was "an attack on American values", adding: "We are celebrating perversity."

Nick Jonas has shared his dream of playing Bruce Springsteen in a movie.
The Jealous singer hails from The Boss' home state of New Jersey, and after making his mark as an actor in films like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Midway, he has his sights set on a biopic.
Speaking to Apple Music's Zane Lowe on Tuesday, Nick said: "Growing up in New Jersey, Bruce obviously has a special place in my heart and my creative life, and it is a dream of mine... to play him in a movie one day and tell his story in some way that would be honouring to him and that he could be involved with (sic)."
