Since the past few weeks, viral myositis is being most commonly observed in clinics and outpatient departments across state-run hospitals in Mumbai. Myositis is inflammation, especially of the voluntary muscles, characterized by pain, tenderness on movement, swelling, acute weakness and high fever.
