Katee Robert: Neon Gods Updated reimaginings of Greek mythology have been bestselling of late, and the same is expected for the hotly anticipated new novel Neon Gods from romance author Katee Robert. An update of Hades and Persephone’s forbidden love story, Neon Gods is far removed from the traditional Greek myth setting, instead placing Persephone as a society darling fleeing the trappings of her ultra-controlled life in the upper class. Once she escapes to the seedy undercity of Robert’s ultra-modern version of Olympus, she meets the mysterious and revenge-hungry Hades. Steamy encounters between the two ensue, adding fuel to the fire that’s given Roberts’ writing the label “unspeakably hot,” in the words of Entertainment Weekly.
