Answer. Though separate from the afghan taliban, the Pakistani Taliban threatens stability across the afghanpakistan border. Its home of militants of chechnya, asia, even those of the west, a threat to u. S. Forces there. And inside pakistan, a nation with a Large Nuclear arsenal, the taliban has sworn to topple the government, and as they grow in strength, there are real fears they might succeed.
