Premier Inc joins coalition to combat the sale of stolen and counterfeit goods – The Buy Safe America Coalition has announced that healthcare improvement company Premier Inc has joined its mission to bring added transparency and accountability to online marketplaces. The coalition is a group of retailers, consumer groups, wholesaler distributors and manufacturers focused on preventing the sale of counterfeit and stolen goods. During the pandemic, Premier has vetted thousands of gray market solicitations on behalf of its members, finding that less than 10% of offers are legitimate and reporting hundreds of illegitimate sellers to the authorities. Andy Brailo, chief customer officer at Premier, stated: “Healthcare providers are working around the clock to care for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the last thing they need to worry about is whether their products are reliable, safe and legitimate. Premier is committed to ensuring that our global supply chain is protected and that our frontline healthcare workers – and patients – are not put in harm’s way. Premier is proud of these vigorous processes and to be joining the Buy Safe America Coalition. We believe consumers should feel confident that they are purchasing safe, efficacious products from legitimate manufacturers and sellers when navigating any online marketplace for medical or other consumer products.” (

Nextbite teams with comedian George Lopez for street tacos menu

Virtual brand will debut June 8, joining HotBox by Wiz Khalifa as a celebrity-driven delivery-only concept
Nextbite Brands LLC, the virtual restaurant company, is teaming with comedian George Lopez for a street-taco delivery-only concept, the company said late Tuesday.
The Denver-based Nextbite, owned by Ordermark, is expanding its celebrity-linked online concepts beyond a partnership last year with rapper Wiz Khalifa for Hotbox by Wiz.
Using the Spanish patois where “rompe” equals “break,” Lopez said in a statement: “My street tacos are all about helping you rompe your routines and dinner expectations with a badass street taco experience that tastes damn delicious.”

Uber founder's Denver 'ghost kitchen' opens with nearly 30 concepts

BusinessDen file)
The secretive “ghost kitchen” company backed by Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick has launched in Denver.
CloudKitchens’ facility at 810 Vallejo St. in Lincoln Park is now up and running, according to tenants.
BusinessDen reported last spring that the company had requested permits for the location, which is not far from the I-25/6th Avenue interchange.
Ghost kitchens are facilities where restaurants prepare food exclusively for delivery. Permit documents indicated the space would be used for 52 kitchens, with walk-in coolers and an employee lounge.
CloudKitchens’ facility isn’t the only ghost kitchen in Denver. Nextbite Brands, whose food concepts include Monster Mac, Grilled Cheese Society and Mother Clucker, leased space in Riverfront Park in 2019. And ChefReady opened in the Overland neighborhood last summer with 10 kitchen spaces.
