Family of man who died after being pepper sprayed in Brooklyn federal prison sues

Jamel Floyd had been detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. The suit was filed Wednesday morning by Jamel Floyd's mother, Donna Mays, who is the administrator of his estate, at federal court in the Eastern District of New York, and names the US and 30 unnamed correctional officers and staff for the federal Bureau of Prisons as defendants.
