Vai, its raining right now but its this afternoon and this evening that well see the heavy rainfall. Thats triggering a flood threat for later today. Heavy rain but strong gusty, warm winds will lead to lots of melting snow. The flood threat for poor drainage areas. This morning were seeing the first line of rain. Thats pretty good rainfall thats moving through philadelphia. Now center city is getting those heavier downpours. Norristown and phoenixville its falling at a rate of more than an inch and a third an hour. Those showers are moving to the northeast at more than 40 mil ....

That rain is already moving into philadelphia. Its already in most of the rest of pennsylvania. Today is a first alert weather day especially for later today and into this evening. Unfortunately the timing is right with the afternoon rush. We have a flood watch for much of the area. And that snow covered ground adds to the moisture that could eventually end up into the streams and rivers. Theres the advisory, the flood watch that goes until thursday afternoon. So were not just talking about localized flooding while its raining, then the streams and then the rivers can go up too. So this is maybe over a couple of days. So look at this. A wall of rain that is just come into philadelphia now. It goes all the way back west of harrisburg. Some of it is on the heavy side. A little bit ahead of the main area here in buck ....
