世界最高的孔子像，高达90米，历时三年建成，刚建好便成地标建筑_重庆渝帆_新浪博客

刘禹锡在《陋室铭》写道“山不在高，有仙则名，水不在深，有龙则灵”，其实位于山东曲阜的尼山就是这样的一座山，虽然它高不过三山，也雄不过五岳，却因诞生了一位被后世称为“至圣先师”、“万世师表”的孔子，而名声大振，一直被帝王将相、达官显贵、文人墨客无比推崇，山虽不高，却名动天下。
尼山原名尼丘山，它位于曲阜城区的东南30公里处，这里五峰连峙、风景秀美，是孔子的诞生地，因此被人们尊为中华文化乃至世界文明景观的制高点，也是儒学文化的发源地，它对中国和世界文明都产生了深远影响。
尼山上有很多关于孔子的古建筑，比如大成殿、启圣门、尼山书院、夫子洞、棂星门、观川亭等，流传着很多关于孔夫子的故事，同时在它的边上又兴建了一组大型的建筑群，名为尼山圣境，是一个以创建“中华优秀传统文化体验基地”为根本使命，以打造“文化休闲度假胜地”为总体定位，以建设“世界级人文旅游目的地”为总体目标，集文化体验、修学启智、生态旅游、休闲度假于一体的复合型文化度假产业综合体。
圣山圣境是世界儒学中心所在地，也是世界文明论坛的举办地，这里除了高规模的广场、道路、水景以外，最主要的建筑其实只有两个，一个是举办世界文明论坛的大学堂，另一个就是山后方高大的孔子圣像。
据景区的工作人员介绍，孔子圣像位于尼山圣境主轴线最北端的一处高地之上。圣像坐北朝南，面向孔子湖，像高72米，基座高度为18米，加在一起则高达90米，相当于30层楼的高度，是目前世界上最高的孔子塑像。
孔子铜像面部形象宽容、厚重，服装简洁均衡，由著名雕塑家吴显林先生主持设计，以唐代画家吴道子《先师孔子行教图》为参考，按照“可亲、可敬”、“师者、长者、智者”的形象定位进行塑造，统领尼山圣境文化空间制高点。
在尼山圣境，有很多的表演，比如大型演出《金声玉振》，大学堂的《大学之道》、《鼓瑟吹笙》，灯光秀《天下归仁》，在孔子圣像前，有时还会有礼敬先师的祭祀活动（如上图），其意义旨在尊师明礼，心怀敬畏，蕴含了对至圣先师的崇敬之心，有志于学之志向。可以让每一位参礼游客直观地接触儒家思想精髓，体会传统文化的震撼力，担当起家庭、社会的责任，传承礼乐文明。
尼山圣境孔德文经理介绍说，孔子圣像是尼山圣境的核心工程，也是尼山圣境的标志性景点。在孔子诞生地塑造一尊孔子像，也是社会各界仁人志士多年的愿望。孔子像的高度，孔子像的尊容形态，孔子像的塑像材料、塑像选址地点，都是经过众多专家学者从人文地理等各方面，多次研讨论证、精心规划设计、反复修改完善才最终确定下来的。
如果说儒家思想是圣人留给我们的宝贵财富，好么尼山圣境及在这里举办的世界文明论坛无疑是对儒家思想的发扬、传承与光大。无论是游走在大学堂的宏大建筑之中，还是驻足在90米高的孔子圣像之前，我们都感到无比的震撼，这是一种有别于面对大山大河鬼斧神工时的震撼，而是可以让我们更加真切地去感悟、去汲取圣人的智慧，是一种源自于心灵深处的震撼。
