The marriage equality activist came up short in his bid to get elected to Ohio's legislature.
Jim Obergefell, lead plaintiff in the case that legalized gay marriage nationwide, now lives in Sandusky and is running for the Ohio House.
“I don’t mind being the underdog, and I’m not afraid to take on any issue when it’s the right thing to do,” Obergefell says in a Twitter video.
