Recently, second-grade students at Okoboji Elementary had a chance to read "Santa's Stuck," a children's book by Rhonda Gowler Greene and Henry Cole. Their teachers, Jennifer Bouse, Brenda Martin, Jenni Cunningham and Beth McCabe, then asked the second-grade students how they would dislodge jolly old Saint Nicholas from if he were trapped in their chimney. The Dickinson County RSVP Literacy Partners program wishes to thank all area individuals and businesses who contributed to this year’s Good Neighbor Fund of Spirit Lake and Okoboji. The RSVP Literacy Partners program provides new Scholastic books to all Graettinger-Terril, Spirit Lake and Okoboji Elementary first graders twice per year.
