Bill Hunt was 31 when he was last seen alive. Leaning up against a tree, badly wounded, the Special Forces ranger provided cover for a wounded comrade that November in 1966. He never came home. Married with two kids, Hunt had served in the military before but got out after one enlistment to return home to Sandpoint.

July 7, 2021 134 TORRINGTON – Frank G. Lomento Jr., 75, of Torrington, peacefully passed away at his home on Sunday, July 4, 2021, with his wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Carillo) Lomento for 55 years. Frank was born Jan. 25, 1946, in Torrington, the son of the late Frank and Rose (Torizzo) Lomento. After graduating from the Torrington High School, class of 1963, he served his country and was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He served as an infantry soldier with the 4th Infantry Division.
