The Pentagon on Friday announced new military aid for Ukraine worth $425 million as Congress grapples with a White House request to spend another $60 billion to help the embattled country beat back entrenched Russian forces.
The new aid is worth $150 million and includes mostly air-defense equipment, missiles, small-arms ammunition and various other maintenance and logistical items, the Defense Department said.
