Suburban miami community. A wing of the 12 stories peach front building collapsed early this morning. Search and rescue personnel are combing through the rubble being, searching for sur advisors. So far one person is confirmed dead. Correspondent Steve Harrigan has the latest tonight from surfside, hello, steve. Steve mike, officials here insist that this is still a Search And Rescue operation. They say under ground they are hearing a banging. They are not sure its human but they expect to continue the search all night long. Surveillance video shows the collapse of parts of a Condominium Tower at 1 30 a. M. Thursday while most residents were asleep. The most basic questions how many are dead, what caused the collapse, remain unanswered. This is beyond crazy, you know, this doesnt happen in first world countries. Billings just dont fall down like this. So this is inexplicable. Still a search and Rescue Operation, meaning they are still looking for survivors after part that have condo collapsed around 2 00 this morning in surf side near miami beach. Youre seeing part of that building left. At the moment one person has died, two are in the hospital. There are no numbers on how many people are still missing after this horrifying scene. Survivors started to share their stories after a scary morning. Unfortunately, we do hear screams. I dont even want to think about it. We did hear screams but i couldnt tell where they were coming from, from the rubble, from the apartments. People were on their balconies, waving flashlights, yelling to the firefighters.
