You have so many books. A lot of people think of you mostly as a political conservative but in your book, radical son where you talk but your life story, you reveal the side of yourself i as a writer would say i would call a good writer. Youre not just somebody with great ideas but you write well, and in this book, im probably not the first one to call it it has beautiful tone to it, resume nations, obviously on mortality and faith. Thats the title. When you decided to write this book well, let me ask you a simple question. Why did you write this book . People might assume radical son is your story. That was the story of my political transformation from a leftist, somebody who described himself as a marxist revolutionary to a conservative. At what point did you stop describing yourself as a marxist revolutionary, what year roughly. They argue over contemporary history. We dont have the ability to have a speedy analysis. The way i recognize this is this is my submission as the draft, political and organizational report of the last 30 years for my friends who are involved in different movements, and im hoping very much that they will read it, trash it, say this is wrong, this is wrong, but reflect on the contemporary history in order to think through strategy. And consequently you wont find anything too negative in this book at all. I think, it is, it shows my affection for family, and it shows his great affection for the kennedys, but there are parts of it that make you think, i mean, for instance, Jacqueline Kennedy lost many children, two or three miscarriages. She went into severe depression at one point and had electroshock therapy. And you begin to understand why the kennedys through themselves into mental health. Because rosemary kennedy, one of president kennedys sisters, also had electroshock therapy and it never worked and it was always a heartache for ambassador kennedy and for his wife. So there are poignant parts of this book, but it is for the most part a love story. And i hope you like it. ....
