Tampa or southward. today is mainly up toward the panhandle. so what the national hurricane center is doing is pretty much compromising and this is your cone of uncertainty. anyone within this cone needs to be on the alert. category 1, category 3, that is western cuba, to category 4. major hurricane status. even though the track calls it to weaken to maybe a cat 2 or 1, we ll be finding that even though it is the winds that are lightening, once it is a category 4, it is all that water will shove right into any community on this flank here. so don t pay attention to what the category is when it comes closer. the last one was michael, that was a category 5, we know the destruction with that. but again, trying to get a handle on the models. notice burgundy, that is in the big bend area. so if we re going to have it, let s have it there. ....

Water. and we have during these storm seasons and the heavy rain situations we empty out our storm ponds. we put a great deal of water over the dam much more than on a daily basis and really try to prepare, clean out our storm ditches, do everything that we can to allow that water to freely flow out into the bay and into empty storm ponds. of course as we ve been saying there s so much uncertainty as to where this storm will hit. it could be anywhere from southern florida all the way up to the panhandle. but it could very easily, of course, land right on your city. what are you considering now about evacuations and telling people to leave town? well, that s something that, you know, is quite a tightrope to walk. you don t want to call too early, and clearly we don t want anyone out on our roadways when the evacuation call is made. and what we re saying, too, is ....

Management. thank you so much for being with us. we won t take up too much of your time. given the predictions being made how much are you able to prepare when the potential landfall stretches all the way up from south florida to the panhandle? that is a challenge, no doubt about that. but we have an outstanding team here in florida. we do consider ourselves the tip of the spear, as one of the top three, four, five, emergency management agencies in the country. so what we re doing to compat that is we work with our partners at fema, the division of emergency management that we do house 1 million gallons of water, 2 million meals. so we already have that in our warehouse. we do have our agencies with fema that have millions of gallons of water and millions of food shelf stable meals ready to go. so we re prepare. the one thing that is a little bit of a moving target right now is where do we setup that ....
