May 8, 2021 WELLSVILLE William E. “Bill” Wells, 72, of Wellsville, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born October 8, 1948, in Chester, West Virginia, the son of the late Guy H. Wells and the late Freda M. (Nally) and Donald Williams. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two brothers: Lloyd Wells and Russell Fiest. Bill graduated from Oak Glen High School in 1966, and he went on to serve his country in the United States Army from 1968-1971 during the Vietnam War. He was employed for twenty-five years as a heavy machinery mechanic supervisor for Standard Slag. He then worked for seven years as a supervisor at International Mill Service, and most recently for ten years as an associate at Roberts Funeral Home. Bill loved to work on anything with a motor, and he could always be found in his garage working on his latest mechanical project. Bill was Christian by faith and was saved ....
Blaine H. âBuckâ McIntosh PITTSBURGH, Pa. Blaine H. “Buck” McIntosh, 75, of Wellsville passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Buck was born in Wellsville on May 26, 1945 a son of the late John and Vivian (Cook) McIntosh. He was a 1963 graduate of Wellsville High School. Buck was a veteran of the Army proudly serving his country in the Vietnam War and was recognized as a sharpshooter. Buck worked for 40 years starting at Crucible Steel and later retiring from J & L Steel where he worked as a motor inspector and electrician. He was a member of Southern Ruritan Club and was currently serving as their vice president. He was also a life member of the NRA and a founding and life member of Columbiana County Rod and Gun Club. Buck was an avid sportsman and loved deer hunting, trap shooting and going fishing. He and his brother Lew went on many hunting trips together over the past 60 years. He was al ....
