Story. Reporter as you heard they are still investigating what caused the incident that could be seen across the bay area yesterday. As we reported yesterday they are looking at that monday night earthquake as a possible factor. It raises a serious question. What is going on with the ground in this area where there is so much fuel infrastructure . We have the hayward fault. We have the calaveras concorde fault. We have the greenville fall. We have a series of faults. Reporter our entire region is earthquake country. They usually happen along the major faultlines. Take a look at the usgs maps. They really can pop up all over the place. Anywhere in the bay area you can be right on top of an earthquake that is large enough to cause a shaking and moderate damage.
