North Wildwood says dune erosion has reached the point that the best option is to connect a newly installed bulkhead to the existing seawall a few blocks away. On Friday , the city submitted a request for emergency authorization from the DEP for the project, as winter storms eat away at what dune is left and more storms are expected.
